Our Falcons had an awesome spring season, and we are pleased to celebrate our student-athletes who received postseason recognition for their achievements!


The following student-athletes made Times Union all-star teams this spring:

Boys' track and field

First Team:

  • Samir Gardner, long jump
  • 4x100-meter relay team - Samir Gardner, Daaron Harrell, Nasief Smith, Rohan Edwards-Grant

Second Team 

  • Rohan Edwards-Grant, 100 meters
  • 4x400-meter relay team - Samir Gardner, Daaron Harrell, Adam Elia, Rohan Edwards-Grant

Girls' flag football:

Offensive Athlete of the Year

  • Azera Gates

First Team 

  • Azera Gates, wide receiver/cornerback

Second Team

  • Narai Danzy, quarterback
  • Elana Temple, linebacker

The following student-athletes were named Suburban Council all-stars this spring:

Boys' track and field:

Azera Gates and Samir Gardner also were awarded the Suburban Scholastic Council Excellence in Leadership Award for demonstrating outstanding leadership qualities in athletics. They each were presented a special plaque by City School District of Âé¶¹Ó°Òô Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics Kimberly Pilla at a celebratory dinner during the spring.


We are so proud of each and every student-athlete who played for Âé¶¹Ó°Òô High this spring. Fantastic job to our honorees for their tenacity and dedication!
