About
Are you willing to host pre-practice college students in your classroom for observation hours? This is generally a 15 to 25 hour commitment over the course of a semester.
These students are not formal student teachers/interns, but observing before that experience.
The advantage to you is an extra pair of hands in your classroom to assist with daily duties! Although pre-practice college students will not prepare lessons or teach small or large groups of children, they can certainly assist with passing out supplies and materials, sit with students while on the computer or in small groups and other tasks as you assign.
Requirements
The guidelines are somewhat relaxed for welcoming a pre-practice college student in your room for observation hours only. Non-tenured teacher can host a pre-practice student teacher for observation hours with the approval of a building administrator.
